Edna Jackeline Vazquez
Founder | Owner (Spanish, English)
Having started her ultrarunning career in 1998, Edna Jackeline Vazquez is an ultrarunning veteran, having represented her native Mexico in the International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU) and competing all over the world. A U.S. citizen since 2013, Edna has run countless races with distances from 50 to 100 miles, but her crowning achievement was, in 2016, being the first Mexican-American to ever complete the 4 Deserts race series – four 250 km self-supported stage races across the most inhospitable deserts of the world – staged by internationally renowned race company Racing the Planet.
Edna is a USA Boxing Certified Coach and a USATF certified running coach who also designs custom running programs based on individual goals and achievements. She is an Autism Exercise Specialist certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. She coaches the Chicago Marathon training program while also leading programs designed for local and international competitions and multi-stage events. A motivational speaker using her ultramarathoning experiences to inspire others, Edna was one of only 40 individuals rewarded with Negocios Now’s 2017 “Latinos 40 Under 40” award for her outstanding achievements in sport and community leadership. In 2016 she also received an Outstanding Achievement Award from National Autonomous University of Mexico’s Chicago Red de Talentos organization while continuously representing organ and tissue donor foundation Gift of Hope.
With a bachelor’s degree from the University of Monterrey in Mexico, graduate work at the University of Seville in Spain and an MBA from Chicago’s Robert Morris University, Edna has long emphasized education as a major component of healthy living while always smiling and supporting others in their athletic endeavors. Before opening Vive Healthy, Edna spent 12 years as an operations manager in the highly competitive food manufacturing industry.

Erin O’Donnell
Personal Trainer | Science in Kinesiology with a Minor in Spanish and Nutrition (English)
Erin O’Donnell is a personal trainer at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she found her passion in helping people improve their lifestyle and health through physical activity.
She graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and continued her education earning a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Northwestern University.
She specializes in mobility, weight loss, hypertrophy training, and endurance training. She enjoys helping those new to fitness become comfortable in the gym. Erin takes a comprehensive approach to fitness and will design a program focused on consistent workouts, client education and realistic goal setting that can help all clients to maximize their potential.

Laurey Anicka
Yoga Instructor
Laurey discovered yoga when she joined a pre-natal class when pregnant with her son, Ollie.
15 years later, she is passionate about teaching yoga to others, sharing its healing benefits, and making yoga accessible to everyone. She focuses on Hatha yoga and applies principles of Ayurveda, yoga’s sister science. Her classes emphasize the importance of breath-enhanced movement and include elements of both breathwork and meditation. Her goal is to facilitate a warm and welcoming space for students of all levels to feel both challenged and supported. Laurey completed her 250-hour training with Tejas Yoga and continues to be mentored by James Tennant and Jim Bennitt, co-owners of Tejas Yoga.

Michael Mosqueda

Michael Mosqueda is a passionate personal trainer and performance specialist who resides in Pilsen as an active member of the community. Whether your goal is to gain muscle, become more athletic, or simply to improve your quality of life, he can effectively deliver a program to crush your goals. He has a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Concordia University Chicago. With experience in sports, physical therapy, and strength training, Michael continues to learn everything he can in the fitness industry to help his students succeed. While pushing students to limits they thought never existed, he enjoys creating relationships with them and helping them lead a healthy way of life. No matter the goal, Michael makes sure to put in the work to help others.
